Verification policy
How a fact becomes a published fact
Every entry carries its state on the page: structured record, editorial entry, source-verified, property-confirmed. Nothing is presented as confirmed before it is.
Site area is this register's central measure and almost no property publishes it. Of the entries written so far, every one carries Awaiting confirmation in that field. Where figures exist they come from architects' project records, developers' announcements, planning documents or reference works — rarely from the house itself, and the record says which.
Inventory figures need two independent sources. Where sources disagree, both are carried and the disagreement is published rather than resolved by preference. Where they disagree badly, no figure is carried at all.
The word private is not repeated after a brochure. A shoreline is recorded as the estate's own, shared, public with a club held on it, or not held at all — and three records were corrected on that point after inspection contradicted the published description.
